Xmas Card Take 43

We finally got our Christmas card printed and with the help of the boys last weekend, sent out. (I was telling the truth when I said they could do stickers - they just happened to be address labels...). I was thrilled with the photo we were able to use for the card even if the printing was a little bleh.

Capturing that elusive photo for the card wasn't nearly the ordeal that it has been in past years. It definitely produced a lot of silliness though. While I loved the picture we eventually chose, the outtakes might be even better...

Yes, those are socks...

Snow!

We got some snow several weeks ago and before the cold snap (several days in the teens!) the boys and I got outside for a little playtime.

It was a gorgeous day - just look at that sky!

busy, busy, busy

We've been crazy busy the last few weeks with travels to Seattle

including lots of family visiting

Moving to the big boy bed and, in the process, giving up naps :(

Trying to capture that perfect photo for this year's holiday card

Freezing our rears off taking part in holiday festivities

and enjoying the fresh snow (which we don't even have photos of yet!)

Hopefully, things will start to settle down as we approach the holidays and I can catch up on the blog. But for now, we wish everyone much joy and merriment for the holiday season! We'll be back!

Bizarre foods

We have been so lucky with Tim in that so far, he seems to have the most adventuresome palate of the entire family. Doesn't matter what is on his parents' plates, he wants to have some! He's a fan of seafood (including lobster, mussels, clams), mexican, indian, thai, olives of all kinds, most veggies, and other items that wouldn't necessarily fall under typical 2-year-old cuisine. Maybe a future for him on the Travel Channel or Food Network? (and hopefully, I'm not jinxing myself writing about this!)

Post-Halloween Stroll

The boys and I met up with the Sidell-Petersons for lovely stroll along the bog walk the morning following Halloween.

It was a beautiful day and everyone seemed to be having a great time following along.

Per our usual though, everyone seemed to run out of energy and motivation to continue on past about the half way point (which is also the point as far away from the parking lot as possible). But, we had a trick up our sleeve and managed to convince the boys to keep going with a little help from Halloween candy. A shot of our baby birds and their "bowls" ready for a treat:
