Bizarre foods
We have been so lucky with Tim in that so far, he seems to have the most adventuresome palate of the entire family. Doesn't matter what is on his parents' plates, he wants to have some! He's a fan of seafood (including lobster, mussels, clams), mexican, indian, thai, olives of all kinds, most veggies, and other items that wouldn't necessarily fall under typical 2-year-old cuisine. Maybe a future for him on the Travel Channel or Food Network? (and hopefully, I'm not jinxing myself writing about this!)

Post-Halloween Stroll
The boys and I met up with the Sidell-Petersons for lovely stroll along the bog walk the morning following Halloween.

It was a beautiful day and everyone seemed to be having a great time following along.

Per our usual though, everyone seemed to run out of energy and motivation to continue on past about the half way point (which is also the point as far away from the parking lot as possible). But, we had a trick up our sleeve and managed to convince the boys to keep going with a little help from Halloween candy. A shot of our baby birds and their "bowls" ready for a treat:

I can't say thank you enough
A huge thanks to the men and women who have served and are currently serving our country. I may not agree with the decisions for the current military activity happening around the world, but I most certainly support the people who are doing their jobs for their country.
Hundreds of soldiers make their way through Bangor each year, en route to places around the world as well as on their way home. A dedicated group of volunteers greets these soldiers day and night. An award winning documentary called "The Way We Get By" details their story and airs tonight on PBS at 9pm (I know, just about now for you east coasters). Tune in if you can or look for it on Netflix soon!
Nick and I had the pleasure of joining some of the troop greeters a few years ago while seeing Greg off for a flight out of Bangor. It was just a few minutes of our time, but it was an experience I don't think I'll ever forget.

If stuff like this happened at the Brewer Hannaford, I'd really enjoy grocery shopping so much more.... ;)

Halloween 09
The boys were so into Halloween this year! Nick was the man with the yellow hat

and Tim was his sidekick Curious George

They were super excited to be dressed up in their costumes

and beyond excited at the idea of going out and collecting candy!

We were joined by the Petersons for trick-or-treating. In order to convince Soren that he wanted to wear his costume, we all dressed up (including some of us in costumes that were thrown together in 20minutes)

OctoBoodle

A classic!

The dread pirates Peterson

All of the kids had a great time trick-or-treating!

Nick raced from house to house (I'm assuming to maximize candy gathering)

while Tim deliberated over which kind of candy to select (wouldn't want to rush such an important decision)

Good time!
