It's hard to believe that we got to do this in April this year! The St Pierres were in town and got to enjoy a beautiful day out there with us!

Nana and Pepere made a trip out last week and in their honor, Greg and Tim obliged them with another seafood feast.

Of course, we had to torment the lobsters a little before they met their steamy death...er, I mean examine them up close and learn about how they move and work. All very educational!

Nana and Pepere visited last week but before they arrived, Tim and Jake helped me tidy up the guest room...

We've had some unseasonably warm weather this spring and lots of fun outside enjoying it!

Hippity Hoppity

The easter bunny remembered to stop at our house again this year much to the delight of the kiddos. Everyone slept in until at least 6am (hey, that's not bad for around here) and then we went downstairs to see what had happened...

The egg hunt started immediately!

The boys then noticed that EB had also left some goody-filled baskets too

Getting ready for easter

Easter kind of snuck up on us this year but we managed to get a little prep work done before the day, thanks to school and Grandma.

Here is an egg Nick decorated with Grandma (who, I'm sure didn't approve the message but was just trying to keep the chaos level down with 4 little boys, a bunch of eggs and a bunch of dye)

Nick was playing Scrabble with Nana, and Nana played the word "java". She asked Nick if he knew what that meant. He replied, "of course! like javascript, you know?" Sigh. It starts so young!

Living his dream

When we told the boys that we were going to go to Florida. The one place that they said they'd really like to go was Legoland. So, Legoland it was!

Although Nick was able to maintain his cool in the car,


he was SO excited when he finally saw this sign


We sunscreened up and headed in


We started off with some pretty fun stuff


and of course, one of the favorites in our household


In my opinion, one of the great things about Legoland was that in each area, there was a ride for the older kids, one for the younger kids and some activity that was interactive. It made it easy for us to divide and conquer. Nick got to go on the roller coasters with Greg while Tim got to go on some slightly more tame rides with me.


Another cool thing was that in the waiting area for most of the rides, there was a lego play station for the kids to use while the parents waited in line.

Tim's favorite ride was the Adventures of the Lost Kingdom ride where you shoot targets while riding through an Egyptian tomb...


Wile Nick's favorite ride was the Dinosaur Cover roller coaster

My favorite ride was definitely Boating School where we got to drive a boat through canals. I don't have many pictures of it because Nick (who was in the boat with me) was having some trouble controlling our boat and we spent a good deal of the time crashing into other people or driving backwards.


The runner up was probably driving school - so cute!








We missed quite a bit due to time constraints (the park closed at 6) and definitely could have spent another day there without repeating any areas...


and we're all looking forward to our next visit!
