Nick had his first snowboarding lesson last week and it was a huge success! I had tried to prepare him for some frustration since I'd heard that most people need to try 3 times before getting the hang of it. He was lucky enough to be in a lesson with just Soren and one other kid (who didn't show) with a very kind and patient teacher. By the end of their first lesson, both kids were riding down a small hill and could actually get back up again on their own! Can't wait to see this week's progress!

We got to meet our newest cousins today, Volcano and hamster. they're super cute, like to be held and make the cutest little chirping noises!

We took the boys and Soren on a quick bike ride this afternoon to enjoy the sunshine despite the chilly temps. The boys had fun riding but definitely had the most fun throwing rocks into the frozen puddles

We took the training wheels off of Nick's bike this afternoon...

Getting back to it....

We had a great summer with lots of fun and adventures, but not a whole lot of blogging... Now that both kids are in school, I'm hoping to catch up and fill in some of the holes...

Nick is now in 2nd grade with Mrs Nadeau.


He thinks he is 7 going on 17... since his class is the only second grade class in the school with the 3rd, 4th & 5th graders.


Tim is Kindergarten, also with a Mrs Nadeau (a different one!) and is loving it!


He tries out the sassy attitude every now and again, but is still just plain old sweet most of the time.


Both boys have transitioned seamlessly into school this year and seem to loving it!


Although I think that Jake misses having them at home
