Field trip

After seeing how beautiful MDI was during the marathon, Tim and I decided to take a little trip down during the week and we were not disappointed! The fall color was out in force and the sun was shining


Our first stop was the Asticou Azalea Gardens. Lovely! I've driven by a million times, but never actually stopped in until last week.


What a gorgeous peaceful place. We nearly had the place to ourselves which along with the scenery, probably helped with the ambiance.


Tim was great and wandered around with me


pausing now and again to try out a bench, pose for a picture or to have me identify plants with him :)


The fall color was spectacular


Tim's favorite spot was the bridge and waterfall


I think mine may have been under a japanese maple


I told Tim I liked the shape of the leaves so he gave them some kisses


Definitely worth a visit again
